Living with opioid dependence can be physically draining, emotionally isolating, and mentally exhausting. While evidence-based care such as medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and behavioral therapy form the foundation of recovery, many individuals continue to struggle with lingering symptoms like depression, anxiety, or psychological distress.
At Tennessee Ketamine & Wellness Center in Franklin, we offer IV ketamine therapy as a complementary, medically supervised option for those in recovery. This treatment is intended to support—not replace—comprehensive addiction treatment programs. For eligible patients, ketamine may help stabilize mood, improve emotional resilience, and create space for deeper healing.
Opioid dependence is a chronic medical condition that alters brain chemistry, particularly in the areas related to pain, pleasure, and impulse control. Ketamine is an anesthetic medication that, at lower doses, is used off-label to treat certain forms of depression and chronic pain. Recent studies suggest that ketamine may also support individuals in addiction recovery by addressing psychological distress that contributes to relapse vulnerability.
IV ketamine therapy may assist with:
This treatment is not designed to treat addiction directly. Rather, it aims to support the broader healing process by improving the mental health of individuals in recovery.
